Our program in Grades Four and Five continues to support students as they actively pursue knowledge. In a nurturing learning environment, students learn 21st century skills, like collaboration and design thinking, which help them ask the right questions along the way. Our students are risk-takers and learn to see the positive of failure and are eager for opportunities that challenge them. Attention is paid to helping students understand how they learn and what strategies and systems work best for them in their studies. Curriculum integrates work on metacognition (“how I learn”) along with practical, hands-on, team-based projects. The feeling of empowerment from such knowledge at this formative age is immeasurable.
