Our 2025 - 2031 Strategic Plan: Horizon 75

In 2031, Brookwood School will celebrate its 75th anniversary. Founded in 1956 by a group of dedicated families seeking a new approach to elementary education on the North Shore of Massachusetts, the school has grown while remaining nestled on a coastal campus surrounded by protected woodlands. From the start, Brookwood’s pedagogy has been steadfast in its commitment to both the mind and the self—pairing ambitious scholarship with intentional attention to each child’s social, emotional, and ethical growth. This balanced approach, where academic challenge is matched with personal reflection and voice, remains at the core of our identity. From this setting, Brookwood stands as a beacon of curiosity, ambition, and lifelong connection.

Our academic community flourishes through a blend of rigorous scholarship, innovative teaching, and a deep-rooted sense of belonging. Each student is encouraged to engage fully, pursue their passions, and develop the skills necessary to navigate and succeed in a rapidly evolving world. We are committed to enhancing our academic excellence by continuously refining curriculum and instruction to ensure a challenging learning environment.

Guided by our talented faculty, Brookwood consistently sets the standard for elementary educational excellence. We prepare our students for future challenges by fostering a lasting love of learning and integrating the very best educational practices. We stand as the benchmark for teaching excellence, nurturing capable, confident learners ready to make a positive impact and achieve their best.
