Our carefully sequenced physical education program, beginning in Early Childhood and culminating in 8th grade with interscholastic and intramural seasonal athletics teams, is designed to help each child develop an appreciation for healthy competition and the benefits of being physically active.
Students participate in developmentally-appropriate physical activities ranging from the simple, such as throwing and catching, to the more complex, such as stick-handling during field hockey and lacrosse as well as becoming tactically aware during team games—which seek to promote skill development, sportsmanship, and individual and team play.
Students in Early Childhood through 5th grade participate in physical education classes, while students in 6th, 7th and 8th grade advance to our athletics program in which we require students to play either in our interscholastic or intramural seasonal offerings.
