When students connect and collaborate with peers and thought-leaders—starting in their own classrooms and expanding around the world—they broaden their perspectives, engage in cross-cultural communication, and embrace global connectedness.
Global Citizenship
At Brookwood, we are committed to educating global citizens. Through academic and social curricula, local/national/global initiatives and collaborations, and partnerships registered with the National Association of Independent Schools’ (NAIS) Challenge 20/20 program, we provide students with varied opportunities to build cross-cultural sensitivity and communication skills in developmentally appropriate ways.
At each grade level, teaching and exploration fosters knowledge of countries and cultures, and promotes cultural competence skills and attributes. We regularly collaborate with peer schools and communicate with students—around the world and in our local neighborhoods—through in-person and virtual exchanges.
