Dates and locations to be determined
Current families are an invaluable resource for prospective families exploring Brookwood. Please join us at one of our regional events to hear directly from parents about their Brookwood experience. Do you have questions about transportation, the transition, parent involvement, finding community connections or school culture? If so, regional events are a great way to connect with parents and hear first-hand accounts of how they’ve experienced Brookwood. If you are unable to attend an event but are interested in speaking with a current parent from your area, please contact the admissions office at (978) 526-4500, ext. 6204 or email@example.com.
4-to-14 Speaker Series: Parenting Elementary School Kids

Now in its ninth year, Brookwood School’s 4 to 14 Speaker Series: Parenting Elementary School Kids provides an opportunity for parents to hear insights from authors, researchers and other experts in the child development field. Our series is open to all members of the public—we welcome anyone interested in raising healthy children in today’s world. Since seating is limited, we encourage you to reserve your complimentary tickets today.
Introducing mindfulness into the lives of children is one of the greatest gifts we can offer. Mindfulness builds emotional intelligence, boosts happiness, increases curiosity and engagement, reduces anxiety and depression, and helps kids focus, learn and make better choices. Dr. Christopher Willard (PsyD) will provide practical tools to help parents embody and share the skills of mindfulness to empower children with resilience throughout their lives.
Dr. Willard is a psychologist and educational consultant based in Boston specializing in mindfulness. He has been practicing meditation for 20 years, and has led hundreds of workshops around the world, with invitations to more than two dozen countries. He currently serves on the board of directors at the Institute for Meditation and Psychotherapy, is the president of the Mindfulness in Education Network, and teaches at Harvard Medical School. He has presented at TEDx conferences and his thoughts have appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, and mindful.org. He is the author of Child’s Mind, Growing Up Mindful, Raising Resilience, Alphabreaths: The ABCs of Mindful Breathing and eight other books for parents, professionals and children.
