4-to-14 Speaker Series: Parenting Elementary School Kids

Dr. Christopher Willard (PsyD) is a psychologist and educational consultant based in Boston specializing in mindfulness. He has been practicing meditation for 20 years, and has led hundreds of workshops around the world, with invitations to more than two dozen countries. He currently serves on the board of directors at the Institute for Meditation and Psychotherapy, and is the president of the Mindfulness in Education Network. He has presented at TEDx conferences and his thoughts have appeared in the New York Times, The Washington Post, mindful.org, and elsewhere. He is the author of Child’s Mind (2010), Growing Up Mindful (2016), Raising Resilience (2017) and eight other books for parents, professionals and children and teaches at Harvard Medical School.

Fall Open House

Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Our admissions open house provides prospective families the opportunity to tour the school, meet faculty, attend an information program with Head of School Laura Caron and hear from Grade 8 students. Parents and children are welcome to attend, with activities available for children ages 4-13.

There’s nothing like seeing Brookwood faculty and students in action! Prospective parents are invited to visit campus anytime between 8:45 – 11:30 a.m. to sample classes and experience Brookwood.

Led by Brookwood faculty, these hour-long classes for 3- to 5-year-olds are free and family-friendly. Parents and children are welcome to attend one or multiple sessions. Class size is limited.
