Running & Fitness

The Spring Fitness program exposes students to a variety of training methods centered around core strengthening, agility, footwork, balance, flexibility, and endurance, as well as general education about good physical wellness practices. The constant challenge to each participant is to gain a better understanding of individual limits and how to extend them. Once per week, the Fitness participants travel to the Manchester Athletic Club (MAC) to make use of their facilities and their training staff. At the MAC, students experience TRX, Spinning, a nutrition talk, plyometrics, yoga, and more. The end of season goals for Fitness students include: a solid assortment of training ideas and an athletically focused discipline that can be applied across a broad range of sports and to other aspects of adolescent life.
