Change is Simple is a climate change education organization committed to fostering lifelong social and environmental responsibility through experiential learning that inspires action. Since 2011, they have expanded from working with a single school to engaging over 8,000 students annually across 38 schools in 13 Eastern Massachusetts communities. At the Sustainable Future Fest, they will bring SCiLL, their mobile classroom and lab, designed to deliver impactful climate education wherever it’s needed. Funded by the Woodard & Curran Foundation and the Comb Family Foundation, SCiLL represents their mission to inspire a healthier planet and stronger communities.
Kestrel is a natural science education organization based in Beverly, Massachusetts, dedicated to connecting people of all ages with the natural world through playful, outdoor scientific inquiry. They specialize in custom-designed natural science and outdoor education experiences tailored to the unique landscapes of Eastern Essex County. Kestrel emphasizes hands-on learning, imagination, and intellectual risk-taking, centering on children’s ideas and fostering their independent skills. At the Sustainable Future Fest, Kestrel will lead 9 bushcraft sessions, offering participants an opportunity to explore nature and develop practical outdoor skills.
