At Brookwood School, the partnership with our parent community is invaluable. We are grateful for the parents who volunteer as representatives of our various interest groups, helping to strengthen connections across our school. Together, we plan and support events for our family affinity groups: Families of Color, LGBTQ+ Families, and Neurodiverse Families.
This year, we have six exciting events scheduled—two for each affinity group—creating opportunities for families to come together, share experiences, and build meaningful connections. In addition, we are working with parents to plan the 2025 Brookwood Carnival, a highlight of our community calendar. To make it easier for parents to stay involved, we’ve also introduced lunchtime conversations over Zoom, offering a flexible way for busy families to engage and share feedback.
Our aim is for every family to feel represented and included in these activities. Whether you connect with one of our family affinity groups, enjoyed the 2024 Brookwood Carnival, or found the Zoom sessions helpful, your involvement is always welcomed. We value your feedback and invite you to share your thoughts with us—whether it’s about an event you attended or one you missed—so that we can continue to improve and engage with all of our families. Also, if you want to discuss adding a new activity, please send an email to set up a time to discuss the possibilities.
