Dear Lower School Families,
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! We are beyond excited about your student’s return and have been preparing for your child’s arrival. I cherish the summer months making memories, but it has been a long summer. Both of those ideas are not mutually exclusive.
On the first day of school, dropping your children on Dan Wise Way under the portico will be the joyful experience we are waiting for. Remember, it is acceptable that your child might run into the building brimming with exhilaration and forget to say “Goodbye” or “I love you!” But they have those feelings just the same. These behaviors happen because they want to learn more about their new teachers and the features available in the intentional design of their classroom and see their friends. They love coming to Brookwood School for all those reasons, afterall.
I look forward to seeing you at drop off or at the Parent Coffee on the courtyard following. I can’t wait to reconnect with you all and hear stories from your summers.
We just started the year, and already, it is shaping up to be epic. We have so much to anticipate, and I am here for it all.
