Dear Families,
Next week, our eighth grade students will take the stage for this year’s much-anticipated play, The SpongeBob Musical, with performances on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 6:00 p.m. This high-energy, wonderfully absurd show brings to life the world of SpongeBob SquarePants—a story of optimism, friendship, and resilience set in the colorful (and, yes, whimsically named) world of Bikini Bottom! With humor that delights both children and adults, The SpongeBob Musical is a fun and vibrant celebration of creativity and community, and we are thrilled to see our students bring it to life.
This year’s production is special—not just because of the story being told, but because of the way it has come together. More than ever, this play has been shaped by our students. They’ve built the set. They’ve supported one another with feedback and direction. And, when it’s showtime, our students will be raising the curtain, flipping the set pieces, and running backstage. They’ve embraced the creative process with enthusiasm, care, and a deep sense of collaboration.
Of course, a production like this doesn’t happen without an incredible network of support. To the many parents who have volunteered their time, energy, and expertise—thank you. Your behind-the-scenes efforts make all the difference. And to Dr. Sid Adams –our Play Director– and our wonderful Performing Arts team—thank you all for your vision, guidance, and commitment to our students.
I hope to see many of you next week as we come together to celebrate the creativity, courage, and camaraderie of our eighth graders. It’s sure to be a performance to remember!
Warmly,
Jon Bartlett
